Christian prayer / a quiet starting point
A prayer for anxiety
with room for honesty.
A short, private structure for naming anxiety without pretending that prayer replaces practical or professional care.
Tradition referencesPhilippians 4:6-7; Psalm 46:10
Begin with the body
Set both feet down. Notice your breathing, your shoulders, and the room around you. You do not need to make the feeling disappear before you begin.
Name what is true
Use plain words for the fear, uncertainty, or pressure in front of you. Keep other people's names and identifying details out of a private reflection.
Ask for one next step
Pray for steadiness and wisdom, then choose one concrete action: rest, ask for help, make a call, or return to the task in front of you.
