Christian prayer / rest and release

A prayer before sleep
with room for honesty.

A gentle Christian practice for closing the day, releasing unfinished work, and preparing for rest without promising sleep on demand.

Tradition referencesPsalm 4:8; Matthew 11:28-30
01

Let the day end

Notice what was given, what was difficult, and what remains unfinished. The night does not need to solve everything the day could not complete.

02

Release the next task

Write down an essential reminder elsewhere if needed, then place the remaining plans outside this prayer and return attention to the present room.

03

Ask for rest

Pray for protection, mercy, and rest for yourself and others. Persistent sleep problems may deserve practical or medical support as well as prayer.
