Christian prayer / the close of day
An evening prayer
with room for honesty.
A quiet review of the day through gratitude, truth, release, and rest.
Tradition referencesPsalm 4:8; Luke 24:29
Receive the day
Notice one gift, however ordinary. Gratitude does not require you to call a hard day easy.
Review honestly
Recall where you acted with love and where you caused harm, avoided responsibility, or need to begin again.
Release what remains
Name what cannot be completed tonight. Ask for protection, mercy, and the grace to rest before tomorrow arrives.
