Christian prayer / truth and repair

A prayer for forgiveness
with room for honesty.

A private structure for confession, responsibility, repair, and mercy without using prayer to avoid consequences or replace sacramental guidance.

Tradition referencesPsalm 51; Matthew 5:23-24; 1 John 1:9
01

Tell the truth

Name the action, omission, or pattern without excuses and without adding another person's identifying details. Distinguish guilt for harm from vague shame about your whole existence.

02

Repair what you can

Ask what restitution, apology, changed boundary, or accountable action is possible. Reconciliation cannot always be demanded, especially where safety or abuse is involved.

03

Receive and practice mercy

Ask for forgiveness and a changed heart. Christian traditions understand confession differently, so bring sacramental or doctrinal questions to your own church or pastor.
